Canceled Shipping Cost

Summary

During the shipment creation process, Sellers have the option to purchase shipping directly through Amazon to send their products into FBA. (This is known as Partnered Carrier) .The purchased shipping is then directly deducted from the Seller’s payments account. In the event that the Seller needs to cancel the shipment, or decides not to send the products in, we can submit a claim to have the shipping cost reimbursed to the Seller.

What is Canceled Shipping Cost?

If a Seller purchases shipping through the shipment creation workflow, then decides not to move forward with the shipment, they can request reimbursement for the shipping labels they purchased. Amazon will then void the shipping labels and provide reimbursement for the Seller.

In order for this claim to be successful, the shipping labels must never have been scanned into the carrier’s system and show as shipped.

How Getida does this claim.

Getida will query shipments that are still open and contain tracking information that was purchased through the shipment creation workflow, but the tracking information was never activated.

Benefits of Getida Canceled Shipping Cost:

  • We review your shipments shipping costs associated with them and submit claims for our clients for shipments that were never sent which allows them to focus more on their business.

FAQs:

1) Can a partial refund be requested if the shipping dimensions were entered incorrectly and the true shipping costs should have been much lower?

No. Once a shipping label has been scanned by the shipping carrier, Amazon assumes that all the information is correct and the shipment has been sent.

2) If a shipment was broken down into multiple smaller boxes and I decided to only send some of those boxes and cancel the remaining, can I request a reimbursement for the shipping labels that were not used?

Yes. Amazon takes these edge cases on a case-by-case basis so we would still file a claim for the portion of the shipping plan that was not used.
